Sydney

At 29 years of age, Emily Seebohm just competed in her fourth Olympics in Tokyo, winning both a Bronze medal and a medley Gold medal. Emily has won an incredible 56 medals on the world stage, making her one of Australia’s most celebrated swimmers.

Emily was front and centre of a 'proud Australian moment' in Tokyo when the young girl she mentored 10 years earlier, Kaylee McKeown triumphed in their race together, breaking a world record and winning the gold medal in the 200-meter backstroke. Emily asked Kaylee if she could present her the gold medal and Kaylee invited her to join her on the top podium to enjoy the special moment and the Australian National Anthem together.

Debuting for the Australian team at the age of 14 at the World Championships in Melbourne, Emily has a slew of credits, world records and Olympic records to her name.

Having grown up with a laser focus on swimming, Emily is an enthusiastic advocate and voice for young women in sport, having endured many struggles of her own whilst growing up as an elite sports person on the world stage.

Emily recently featured as a grand finalist in ‘I’m A celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ for the 10 Network in January 2022. For the first time, Emily opened to the Australia’s TV audience who fell in love with her for being real, compassionate and very bloody funny. In 2022, Emily took part in an Australian First, and joined many other iconic reality stars in Channel 10’s, “The Challenge” which has taken the country by storm.

In a recent interview, after her incredible Tokyo performance, Emily laughed and suggested she was maybe like “a fine wine that gets better with age". This remarkable young woman is a shining example of hard work, grit, determination and resilience at its best. Her gorgeous smile and bubbly nature hides the steely determination and focus that it takes to make four Olympic teams as she continues to take on the world!
